Speaker Introduction and Biography

Sherry L. Payne is a registered nurse and nurse educator.  She holds a MSN from Reseach College of Nursing.  She teaches maternal infant health at Brown Mackie College in Lenexa KS.  Ms. Payne is a breastfeeding educator, trained doula, and certified childbirth educator, and author of the widely read blog, "The LaborPayne Epistles". She is currently a Health Commissioner of Greater Kansas City, co-chair of the Women's, Infant's and Children's Health Committee, and sits on the local Fetal Infant Mortality Review Board.  Ms. Payne resides in Overland Park KS with her husband Charles, and nine children, (four at home) ranging in ages from 4 to 34.

Speaker Fees

Speaking honorarium includes travel expenses, accommodations, meals, conference fee, Nursing CEUs, and per diem speaking fees. Consulting fee is negotiated per proposal.

Audio-Visual Needs

Presentations are on powerpoint. The speaker transports presentations on memory stick but will require the use of an LCD projector and laptop  microphone (for large audiences) The speaker will bring her own handouts unless other arrangements are made.  The presenter may record the sessionsfor her own use.

Travel Preferences

The speaker travels from Kansas City, MO, Kansas City International Airport
(airport code: MCI). The speaker makes her own travel reservations, but prefers to arrive the day before the event.  A window seat is preferred for flights.

Travel Accommodations

The speaker prefers a single or double non-smoking hotel room (will share), or will stay with a nonsmoking family if a private room is available.  The speaker observes a regular, healthful diet, and has no food allergies. Internet and workout equipment availability is preferred.
