Speaker Introduction and Biography

Sherry L. Payne is a registered nurse, presenter, author, storyteller, and veteran homebirther.  She holds a BSN from Rockhurst University/Reseach College of Nursing.  She is an OB Nurse Educator, a breastfeeding educator, trained doula, and certified childbirth educator.  She is the author of the widely read blog, "The LaborPayne Epistles". She is currently chairperson of the Maternal Child Health Coalition of Greater Kansas City’s Breastfeeding Committee.  She owns and operates Perinatal ReSource, a training and consulting firm that promotes maternal-infant health.  She is the author of a work-in-progress, and producer of an upcoming documentary about homebirth.  Sherry, a mother of nine total, resides in Overland Park KS with her husband Charles, and nine children, (five at home) ranging in ages from 2 to 20.

Speaker Fees

Speaking honorarium includes travel expenses, accommodations, meals, conference fee, Nursing CEUs, and per diem speaking fees. Consulting fee is negotiated per proposal. For information on fees, please contact the speaker's representative, Garrett Gardner, directly at garrett@infullvoice.com.

Audio-Visual Needs

Presentations are on powerpoint. The speaker transports presentations on memory stick but will require the use of an LCD projector and laptop  microphone (for large audiences) The speaker will bring her own handouts unless other arrangements are made.  The presenter may record the sessionsfor her own use.

Travel Preferences

The speaker travels from Kansas City, MO, Kansas City International Airport
(airport code: MCI). The speaker makes her own travel reservations, but prefers to arrive the day before the event.  A window seat is preferred for flights.

Travel Accommodations

The speaker prefers a single or double non-smoking hotel room (will share), or will stay with a nonsmoking family if a private room is available.  The speaker observes a regular, healthful diet, and has no food allergies. Internet and workout equipment availability is preferred.
